باری در هر مقامی ذکر فرموده‌اند انچه را که سبب اقبال و ارتفاع و ارتقاء و هدايت خلق است و لکن معدودی غير منصفين حجاب شدند و سدّی حائل گشته‌اند و عباد را از توجّه بانوار وجه منع کرده‌اند * نسأل اللّه ان يطردهم بسلطانه و ياخذهم باخذه انّه هو المقتدر العزيز الحکيم * و

Shoghi Effendi Translation

Briefly, in every instance He hath stated that which is conducive to the conversion, the advancement, the exaltation, and the guidance of men. A few unfair ones, however, have become a veil, and an insurmountable barrier, and debarred the people from turning towards the lights of His Countenance. We pray God to cast them out by His sovereignty, and seize on them with His seizing power. He, verily, is the Lord of Strength, the Mighty, the All-Wise.

Shoghi Effendi described it as a volume whose perusal would deepen the spirit of devotion and faith.

Revealed in Adrianople and addressed to a believer named Aḥmad, this Tablet has been invested by Bahá’u’lláh with a special potency and significance. Its central imagery draws on the metaphor of fire and water: “Be thou as a flame of fire to My enemies and a river of life eternal to My loved ones.”
