Major work, written on the first day of Riḍván as He was departing Baghdad, praising the Bábís of the Nayriz upheaval of 1850 and in particular their leader, Siyyid Yaḥyáy-i-Dárábí (Vaḥíd), recounting their sufferings and condemning their persecutors; describes the sufferings of the biblical Job, comparing them to those of the recipient of the tablet, who played a key role in supporting the defenders at Nayríz; commends fortitude and patience in the face of suffering; foretells the coming of ‘the birds of darkness’; and proclaims the continuity of divine revelation.
هَذَا مَدِيْنَةُ الصَّبْرِ فَاجْهَدُوْا أَنْ تَدْخُلُوْا فِيْهَا يَا مَلَأَ الصَّابِرِيْنَ ذِكْرُ اللّٰهِ فِي مَدِينَةِ الصَّبْرِ عَبْدَهُ أَيُّوبًا إِذْ أَوَيْنَاهُ فِي ظِلِّ شَجَرَةِ الْقُدْسِ فِي فُؤَادِهِ وَأَشْهَدْنَاهُ نَارَ الَّتِي تُوقَدُ وَتُضِيءُ فِي سِرِّهِ وَتَجَلَّينَا لَهُ بِنَفْسِهِ ل
