Halih-Halih-Yá-Bishárát

Halih-Halih-Ya-Bisharat is an ecstatic poem by Baha’u’llah celebrating the descent of the Maid of Heaven — a recurring mystical figure in His writings who personifies divine revelation. The poem pulses with the rhythmic refrain “halih halih halih ya bisharat” (“O glad tidings!”), creating a sense of joyous urgency.

The Maid of Heaven appears throughout Baha’u’llah’s major works, from the Tablet of the Holy Mariner to passages in the Kitab-i-Iqan.
